Rick began his career in the energy field in 1986 after receiving his engineering degree from UC Davis. Initially he worked as a consulting engineer in the nuclear power industry. In 1992 he founded Sunriver Homes, a custom home builder. In 2008 he started Sunriver Solar bringing his extensive knowledge of residential construction to the solar company.

Rick is responsible for the overall strategic direction of Sunriver Solar while at the same time staying intimately involved in the day-to-day operations of all aspects of the company. His goal is for Sunriver Solar to be the best solar company not the biggest. He strives every day to control quality and believes that Sunriver Solar can only do that through controlled growth.
